We hope to fulfill a dream of our gracious donor. We, as a community, can join together and showcase the beauty of our village and the talent of its residents.
Please assist us in making this dream a reality once more this year by participating. Each and every entry makes such a difference and helps to ensure the success of our mission.
We hope that you are as excited as we are to see this year’s entries!
For the past twenty five years, citizens & visitors alike have been delighted to see the wonderfully creative displays throughout the village.

Celebrating 25 Years
Rules & Requirements

You must own or rent property within the Village of Dolgeville limits. Commercial and residential properties throughout the village are welcomed to enter.

You must pre-register to be considered since the judges will be arriving from out-of-town and need to be directed to each display.

All entry forms must be received no later than May 31st, 2024.

Any or all of the following components will be considered: outdoor gardens, porch displays, container gardens, yard displays, lighting displays and use of violets.

The display must be visible form the street!
Awards
Prizes will be given to the displays that best exemplify the Violet Festival theme as determined by the panel of judges. Winners will be notified by telephone after the judges have made their final decision. Awards will be presented on Friday, June 7th. 2024 in Plowe Park during opening ceremonies for Violet Festival weekend.
The 1st & 2nd place winners only from previous years will not be eligible to win in those categories again. However, a 1st place winner could win 2nd place and a 2nd place winner could win 1st. There will be no restrictions on 3rd & 4th place.
Judging
Judging will be held on Wednesday, June 5th, 2024 between 7:00-9:00pm.
Light displays must be turned on during this time. Judges will be provided with a map of pre-registered addresses only.
Names will not be known to the judges.
Out of town judges have been selected to ensure fairness and equality.
